Agreement to Terms: By using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. With 20+ years of experience serving 500+ satisfied customers across Mumbai, we maintain high standards of service quality.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of computer and laptop repair services provided by Xigox Computer Laptop Repair Sales Service Center ("we," "us," or "our"). By engaging our services, you ("customer," "you," or "your") agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.

Effective Date: These Terms become effective from the date you first use our services or visit our premises.

2. Service Description

We provide comprehensive computer and laptop repair services including but not limited to:

2.1 Repair Services

  • Hardware Repairs: Screen replacement, keyboard repair, motherboard repair, battery replacement, charging port repair, hinge repair
  • Software Services: Operating system installation, virus/malware removal, data recovery, software troubleshooting, driver updates
  • Diagnostic Services: Complete system diagnostics, hardware testing, performance optimization
  • Upgrade Services: RAM upgrades, SSD installation, hard disk replacement
  • Maintenance Services: Cleaning, thermal paste application, preventive maintenance

2.2 Brands Covered

We service all major brands including Dell, HP, Lenovo, Asus, Acer, Apple MacBook, MSI, Samsung, Toshiba, Sony, and others.

2.3 Service Locations

We provide services across 189 locations in Mumbai including all major railway stations and neighborhoods. Home service, pickup-drop, and walk-in services are available.

3. Service Request and Acceptance

3.1 Service Request

3.2 Diagnostics

Before proceeding with repairs, we conduct a comprehensive diagnostic assessment (free or nominal charge). We will provide you with:

  • Detailed problem diagnosis
  • Estimated repair cost
  • Expected completion time
  • Available repair options

3.3 Service Authorization

Repairs will only proceed after you authorize the service by:

  • Signing the service authorization form
  • Providing advance payment (if applicable)
  • Agreeing to the quoted price and terms

4. Pricing and Payment Terms

4.1 Pricing

  • All prices are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR)
  • Diagnostic charges may apply (typically ₹200-500, waived if repair is authorized)
  • Repair costs vary based on device model, parts required, and complexity
  • Prices include applicable GST unless otherwise stated
  • Quotes are valid for 7 days from the date of issue

4.2 Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods:

  • Cash payments
  • UPI/Digital payments (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm)
  • Bank transfers/NEFT/RTGS
  • Credit/Debit cards (subject to availability)

4.3 Payment Schedule

  • Advance Payment: 30-50% advance may be required for expensive repairs or parts procurement
  • Balance Payment: Remaining amount due upon service completion before device handover
  • Full Payment: Required for services under ₹2,000

4.4 Additional Costs

Additional charges may apply for:

  • Parts requiring urgent procurement
  • Home service visits (travel charges)
  • Pickup and drop services
  • Same-day or express service
  • Data recovery services

All additional costs will be communicated and approved before proceeding.

5. Warranty and Guarantees

5.1 Service Warranty

Standard Warranty: We provide a 6-month warranty on all repairs and parts (unless otherwise specified). The warranty covers:

  • Defects in parts installed by us
  • Workmanship issues related to our service
  • Failure of the repaired component

5.2 Warranty Exclusions

The warranty does NOT cover:

  • Physical damage (drops, liquid damage, impact) occurring after service
  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or unauthorized modifications
  • Software issues, viruses, or malware infections
  • Parts not replaced by us
  • Issues unrelated to our repair work
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Acts of God (fire, flood, lightning, etc.)
  • Devices opened or repaired by third parties after our service

5.3 Warranty Claims

To claim warranty service:

  • Present the original service invoice
  • Bring the device to our service center
  • Warranty assessment will be conducted
  • If covered, repairs will be done free of charge
  • If not covered, repair charges will apply

5.4 Parts Warranty

  • New/Original Parts: 6 months to 1 year warranty
  • Compatible Parts: 3-6 months warranty
  • Refurbished Parts: 1-3 months warranty (if customer opted for cost-saving)

6. Data Backup and Responsibility

6.1 Customer Responsibility

IMPORTANT: You are solely responsible for backing up your data before service. We strongly recommend:

  • Creating a complete backup of all important files
  • Removing sensitive or confidential information
  • Noting down passwords and activation keys
  • Saving browser bookmarks and email settings

6.2 Data Loss Disclaimer

CRITICAL NOTICE: While we take precautions to protect your data, we are NOT responsible for any data loss during repair. Data loss may occur due to:

  • Hard disk failure or damage
  • Software reinstallation requirements
  • Component replacement necessitating formatting
  • Existing corruption or malware

By authorizing service, you acknowledge this risk and confirm you have backed up your data.

6.3 Data Recovery Services

We offer data recovery services as a separate chargeable service with no guarantee of success. Data recovery charges apply even if recovery is unsuccessful.

7. Device Handling and Security

7.1 Device Custody

  • We will securely store your device during the repair period
  • Access to device will be limited to authorized technicians
  • Device tracking and status updates will be provided
  • We maintain CCTV surveillance in service areas

7.2 Unclaimed Devices

If a device remains unclaimed for 90 days after service completion:

  • We will attempt to contact you multiple times
  • Storage charges may apply after 30 days
  • After 90 days, we reserve the right to dispose of the device to recover costs

7.3 Device Security

  • Remove all SIM cards and memory cards before service
  • Disable device locks/passwords or provide them to technicians
  • Remove personal accessories (covers, dongles, external devices)

8. Cancellation and Refund Policy

8.1 Cancellation by Customer

  • Before Service Starts: Full refund of advance payment (if parts not ordered)
  • After Parts Ordered: Refund minus parts cost and restocking fee (20%)
  • During Service: Charges apply for work completed + parts used
  • After Service Completion: No refund (warranty covers defects)

8.2 Diagnostic Fee

  • Diagnostic charges are non-refundable once assessment is conducted
  • Waived if you proceed with authorized repairs

8.3 Cancellation by Us

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel service if:

  • Device is stolen or suspicious activity is detected
  • Repair is technically not feasible
  • Customer behavior is abusive or threatening
  • Parts are unavailable and customer doesn't want to wait

In such cases, full advance refund will be provided within 7 business days.

8.4 Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds processed within 7-14 business days
  • Refunds issued to original payment method
  • Cash refunds available immediately at service center

9. Limitation of Liability

9.1 Service Liability

Our liability is limited to:

  • Repair or replacement of defective parts covered under warranty
  • Refund of service charges in case of service failure (maximum liability)

9.2 Exclusions

WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR:

  • Data loss, corruption, or breach
  • Loss of business, profits, or revenue
  • Consequential, indirect, or special damages
  • Software compatibility issues
  • Third-party software licensing or activation issues
  • Delays beyond our reasonable control

9.3 Maximum Liability

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service in question.

10. Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about device issues
  • Back up all data before service
  • Remove passwords/locks or provide access credentials
  • Pay service charges on time
  • Collect device within 7 days of completion notification
  • Verify device condition and data immediately upon collection
  • Not hold us responsible for pre-existing issues not disclosed
  • Comply with all applicable laws

11. Intellectual Property Rights

11.1 Our Content

All website content, logos, trademarks, service marks, and intellectual property belong to Xigox Computer Laptop Repair Sales Service Center and are protected by Indian copyright and trademark laws.

11.2 Software Licensing

  • We may install operating systems and software during service
  • You are responsible for obtaining proper licenses for paid software
  • We provide only genuine or customer-owned software installations
  • We do not support or install pirated software

12. Dispute Resolution

12.1 Informal Resolution

12.2 Formal Dispute Resolution

If informal resolution fails:

  • Disputes will be resolved through arbitration in Mumbai, Maharashtra
  • Arbitration conducted under Indian Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996
  • Arbitration language: English or Hindi
  • Arbitrator's decision is final and binding

12.3 Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. All legal proceedings will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

13. Service Delays and Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays caused by:

  • Parts unavailability or supply chain issues
  • Manufacturer delays
  • Natural disasters, pandemics, civil unrest
  • Power outages or technical failures
  • Government restrictions or lockdowns
  • Strikes or labor disputes

We will keep you informed of any anticipated delays and provide revised completion timelines.

14. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of modified Terms.

Notice: Material changes will be communicated via email or prominent website notice.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Xigox Computer Laptop Repair Sales Service Center regarding our services and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
