How it's done
What our technicians do, what it requires, and how to tell you need it.
When this needs a genuine repair rather than a reset, we fully disassemble the cooling path, clean out accumulated dust from the fan blades and heatsink fins (the single biggest real cause of creeping temperatures), remove the old dried-out thermal paste completely from both the CPU/GPU die and the heatsink contact plate, and apply fresh paste before reassembly.
Typical time: 30–45 minutes
The model
The Acer Nitro is Acer's entry-to-mid-tier gaming laptop line — a more affordable path into dedicated-GPU gaming than the flagship Predator line.
Skip the directories. Book direct for transparent pricing with Xigox. Thermal paste on your Acer starts degrading after 18–24 months of heavy use — causing CPU temperatures to spike by 30–40°C, triggering automatic clock-speed reduction. In Govandi, Xigox's Acer Nitro Laptop Liquid Cooling uses Kryonaut, Arctic MX-5 or Noctua NT-H1 and deep-cleans heatsink fins to restore temps to 55–65°C under full load.
When should you consider it's time for the repair on your Acer? Watch for: frequent freezing, excessive heat, lagging response, strange noises, battery draining fast, or dead pixels. Experiencing even one of these in Govandi, don't ignore them — delaying often increases repair costs. Xigox technicians can diagnose your Acer within the hour and advise on the right the repair.
Your Acer model never limits what we can fix. Xigox engineers are trained across all major brands: HP, Dell, Lenovo, Asus, Acer, MSI, Toshiba, Samsung and Apple MacBook. Different manufacturers have unique design choices we account for in every repair. This depth of brand knowledge reduces repair time and lowers the chance of secondary damage.
Every repair performed by Xigox in Govandi comes with a documented 90-day warranty covering parts and labour. Simply put, if the same issue recurs within 90 days, we redo it completely free. Xigox issues a printed warranty receipt every single time, so you know exactly what is covered.
Fixing the immediate problem is only half the job at Xigox. Before your Acer is returned in Govandi, it must pass a strict multi-point quality check. Our team ensures that the issue was 100% successful, checking port functionality. This level of testing is the reason for our 4.9★ rating across Govandi.
Businesses across Govandi trust our repair to minimise downtime. We offer annual maintenance plans, same-day priority service, and a single point of contact. From a small team or an entire floor, Xigox manages the repair for your Govandi workspace with GST invoices and complete service reports.

A common question is whether an extended warranty applies to the repair. Xigox supports insurance claims and can provide the itemised bill your insurer needs — including parts cost, labour cost, and fault description. For out-of-warranty Acer units, third-party repair is typically usually cheaper compared to the official service centre.
Not everyone in Govandi can handle complex this issue. Xigox's engineers work on Acer hardware every day specifically for Acer hardware. Whether it's a minor fix or advanced component-level motherboard repair, we fix it properly right here for Govandi clients.
