How it's done
What our technicians do, what it requires, and how to tell you need it.
When this exact symptom shows up, we check the battery's actual health (cycle count and current capacity vs. its rated capacity) before replacing it, then safely discharge and disconnect the old cell, fit a replacement matched to your model's voltage and connector, and recalibrate the battery gauge with a full charge-discharge cycle.
A failing CMOS battery typically shows up as a reset system clock or lost BIOS settings every time your laptop is powered off — the replacement is a small coin-cell swap on the motherboard, distinct from the main battery.
Typical time: 20–30 minutes
The model
The Acer Predator is Acer's flagship gaming line (laptop and desktop) — high-refresh displays, Acer's most aggressive cooling solutions, and distinctive angular design, competing directly with ROG and Legion.
Avoid the directory hustle. Choose a direct service centre with Xigox. A Acer battery degrades to 60–70% of original capacity after 2–3 years of regular use. In Chinchani, Xigox's Acer Predator CMOS Battery Issue restores full-day battery performance: BIS-certified packs, 45–90 minute installation, and a post-service runtime test to confirm full mAh is delivered.
