FAQ
FAQs — Alienware m16 Laptop Palmrest Replacement in Prabhadevi
Everything you need to know before booking your repair
10 questions answered
Palmrest replacement includes the top casing, keyboard surround area, and often the touchpad, fingerprint reader, and power button housing — depending on your laptop model.
Palmrest replacement costs ₹999 to ₹5,999. Basic palmrest without touchpad starts at ₹999, while premium OEM palmrest with touchpad assembly costs ₹2,499+.
Minor cracks and scratches can be repaired with epoxy and refinishing. However, for worn-out surfaces or touchpad issues, full replacement gives the best result.
Yes — out-of-warranty laptops are most of what we handle in Prabhadevi. Once the manufacturer warranty lapses, authorised centres often quote near-replacement prices for a single component. We repair at component level where it is safe to do so, which is usually a fraction of that cost, and back it with our own 90-day warranty. Customers near Ganesh Nagar in Prabhadevi are covered by our free pickup.
You pay nothing beyond the ₹350 inspection. If we cannot resolve the fault, we explain exactly what we found, return your laptop in the condition we received it, and — where the economics do not justify a repair — tell you so plainly rather than selling you work that is not worth doing. We also serve Worli, Dadar West, Matunga, so you can recommend us to neighbours too.
For software faults, setup, upgrades and diagnostics we can work on-site anywhere in Prabhadevi. Component-level work — board repair, screen bonding, liquid-damage recovery — needs workshop equipment, so we collect the laptop, repair it, and return it. Both options are free of travel charges. Free pickup also available in Worli, Dadar West, Matunga and surrounding areas.
We send live updates over WhatsApp at each stage: collection, diagnosis, quote approval, repair completion, and dispatch. You can reply to that thread at any point to reach the technician handling your laptop rather than a general helpline. We also serve Worli, Dadar West, Matunga, so you can recommend us to neighbours too.
Back up documents, photos and anything stored only on that laptop before any repair — with us or anyone else. Most Alienware m16 Laptop Palmrest Replacement work does not touch your data, but board-level faults and storage failures can be unpredictable. Tell us in advance if the drive holds irreplaceable data and we will treat recovery as the first priority. We've been serving Mumbai City district for over 15 years.
Our rule of thumb: if the repair costs more than roughly half of a comparable replacement and the laptop is more than five years old, replacement is usually the better call. We tell you which side of that line you are on during the inspection in Prabhadevi, even when the answer means we do not get the job. Trusted by customers throughout Mumbai City — rated 4.9★ across 9,727+ reviews.
Yes — Xigox operates 9 AM to 9 PM, seven days a week in Prabhadevi, including Sundays and public holidays. Weekend pickups are often the most convenient option for people who cannot be at home on a working day. We've been serving Mumbai City district for over 15 years.

How it's done
How We Perform Laptop Palmrest Replacement
What our technicians do, what it requires, and how to tell you need it.
1 How It's Performed
For a full replacement job, we remove the damaged panel section, source a replacement part matched to your exact chassis color and mounting points, and carefully migrate over any attached components (speakers, ports, antennas) that are built into the original panel rather than separate.
Typical time: 30–90 minutes depending on scope
2 What This Requires
- An internal check for any pressure or misalignment the damage may have caused to components underneath the affected panel, not just a cosmetic patch.
3 When You Need This
- Damage from a drop or impact, even if everything still technically powers on — body damage can progress and start affecting internals if left alone.
The model
About the Alienware m16
The Alienware m16 is Dell's dedicated gaming brand — distinctive design language, high-refresh displays, aggressive cooling, and RGB lighting, aimed squarely at enthusiast gamers across both laptop and desktop forms.
Key features
- Distinctive industrial design with customizable RGB lighting (AlienFX) across the chassis.
- High-refresh-rate displays (144Hz-360Hz depending on model) genuinely matter for competitive gaming.
- Aggressive, often multi-fan cooling solutions — dust buildup has a more noticeable performance impact than on thinner, less powerful laptops.
- Proprietary charging connectors on some models — always confirm the exact connector before ordering a replacement adapter.
