FAQs — Apple MacBook Screen Backlight Repair in Pedder Road
Everything you need to know before booking your repair
10 questions answered
Yes — ₹350 for the inspection in Pedder Road. Our technician diagnoses your laptop and gives you a clear written estimate; if you go ahead with the repair, that ₹350 is adjusted against the total cost, so the inspection itself doesn't add to the bill. If you decide not to proceed, the ₹350 still applies for the technician's time. Customers across Pedder Road (400026) enjoy priority same-day scheduling.
We accept all major payment methods for Apple MacBook Screen Backlight Repair in Pedder Road: UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm), debit/credit cards, net banking, and cash. Payment is collected after the repair is completed to your satisfaction — we never charge upfront without consent. Our service covers the full 400026 postal area in Pedder Road.
Yes — out-of-warranty laptops are most of what we handle in Pedder Road. Once the manufacturer warranty lapses, authorised centres often quote near-replacement prices for a single component. We repair at component level where it is safe to do so, which is usually a fraction of that cost, and back it with our own 90-day warranty. Trusted by customers throughout Mumbai City — rated 4.9★ across 9,727+ reviews.
You pay nothing beyond the ₹350 inspection. If we cannot resolve the fault, we explain exactly what we found, return your laptop in the condition we received it, and — where the economics do not justify a repair — tell you so plainly rather than selling you work that is not worth doing. Customers near Cumballa Hill in Pedder Road are covered by our free pickup.
For software faults, setup, upgrades and diagnostics we can work on-site anywhere in Pedder Road. Component-level work — board repair, screen bonding, liquid-damage recovery — needs workshop equipment, so we collect the laptop, repair it, and return it. Both options are free of travel charges. Trusted by customers throughout Mumbai City — rated 4.9★ across 9,727+ reviews.
We send live updates over WhatsApp at each stage: collection, diagnosis, quote approval, repair completion, and dispatch. You can reply to that thread at any point to reach the technician handling your laptop rather than a general helpline. Customers across Pedder Road (400026) enjoy priority same-day scheduling.
Back up documents, photos and anything stored only on that laptop before any repair — with us or anyone else. Most Apple MacBook Screen Backlight Repair work does not touch your data, but board-level faults and storage failures can be unpredictable. Tell us in advance if the drive holds irreplaceable data and we will treat recovery as the first priority. Customers across Pedder Road (400026) enjoy priority same-day scheduling.
Our rule of thumb: if the repair costs more than roughly half of a comparable replacement and the laptop is more than five years old, replacement is usually the better call. We tell you which side of that line you are on during the inspection in Pedder Road, even when the answer means we do not get the job. Our service covers the full 400026 postal area in Pedder Road.
Yes — Xigox operates 9 AM to 9 PM, seven days a week in Pedder Road, including Sundays and public holidays. Weekend pickups are often the most convenient option for people who cannot be at home on a working day. Customers across Pedder Road (400026) enjoy priority same-day scheduling.
Yes, on request. Any component we remove during Apple MacBook Screen Backlight Repair is yours, and we will hand it back with the repaired laptop so you can see exactly what was changed. Just mention it when you approve the quote. Our service covers the full 400026 postal area in Pedder Road.

How it's done
How We Perform Screen Backlight Repair
What our technicians do, what it requires, and how to tell you need it.
1 How It's Performed
For a repair job on this component, our technicians power down your laptop fully, remove the bezel or display assembly screws, disconnect the fragile LVDS/eDP display cable, and swap in a panel matched to the exact resolution and connector type your model uses — then reseat the cable and run a full-screen color/dead-pixel test before closing the lid back up.
Typical time: 30–45 minutes
2 What This Requires
- A panel matched to your exact model's resolution, size, and connector pinout — a mismatched panel will power on but show no image.
- Anti-static handling, since display cables and connectors are easily damaged by static discharge.
- About 30–45 minutes of bench time once the correct panel is in hand.
3 When You Need This
- The display works fine on an external monitor but not on the built-in screen — this usually rules out the graphics card and points to the panel or cable.
- Pressure marks or ink-blot-like patches that spread over a few days.
- A hinge that has been over-flexed, since that often damages the display cable running through it.
The model
About the MacBook
The MacBook refers to Apple's laptop line broadly — we service every generation, from older Intel-based units to the current Apple Silicon models, across both everyday and professional configurations.
Key features
- Unibody aluminum construction — durable, but repairs often require more careful disassembly than plastic-chassis laptops.
- Battery and SSD are often soldered or tightly integrated on newer models, changing what a straightforward "swap" repair actually involves.
- macOS-specific diagnostics and recovery tools, distinct from Windows-based repair workflows.
