How it's done
What our technicians do, what it requires, and how to tell you need it.
For this specific fault, we test the port with multiple known-good devices/cables first to rule out a driver or OS-level cause, then inspect the port's solder points on the board — USB and HDMI ports typically fail from physical stress on the connector shell, which cracks the solder beneath it.
Typical time: 20–40 minutes
The model
The MacBook refers to Apple's laptop line broadly — we service every generation, from older Intel-based units to the current Apple Silicon models, across both everyday and professional configurations.
