How it's done
What our technicians do, what it requires, and how to tell you need it.
For a clean installation or setup, our technicians check whether the fault is isolated to one port or affects all ports of that type (which usually points to a controller-chip issue on the motherboard rather than the connector itself) before deciding between a port-level repair and a board-level one.
Typical time: 20–40 minutes
The model
The Dell Inspiron is Dell's mainstream consumer laptop line — everyday computing, schoolwork, and general productivity at a more accessible price point than the premium XPS line.
