For ABS/polycarbonate laptop bodies. We use heat welding, solvent bonding, and fibre reinforcement to repair cracked plastic casings. The weld point is sanded and finished to near-OEM appearance.

ABS, Polycarbonate, Nylon

Metal Reinforcement

Aluminium and magnesium alloy chassis repair. We use cold welding, JB Weld epoxy, and metal bracket reinforcement for bent or cracked metal bodies.

Hinge Bracket Rebuilding

Broken hinge mounting points are rebuilt using metal inserts, epoxy resin, and screw thread restoration. This prevents future hinge failures.

Brass Inserts, Metal Plates

Custom Panel Fabrication

When OEM replacement panels are unavailable, we fabricate custom bottom covers, back panels, and palmrest sections using precision cutting and moulding.

ABS Sheet, Acrylic, Carbon Fibre

Surface Finishing

After repair, damaged surfaces are sanded, filled, painted, and clear-coated to match the original colour and texture of your laptop body.

Automotive-grade Paint, Clear Coat

Laptop Body & Casing Repair Specialist in Ballard Estate

A damaged laptop body is more than a cosmetic issue — it compromises your laptop's structural integrity, exposes internal components to dust and debris, and can lead to screen hinge failure over time. Xigox provides professional laptop body repair, casing replacement, and chassis fabrication in Ballard Estate with same-day service for most repairs.

Why Laptop Body Damage Shouldn't Be Ignored

A cracked palmrest weakens the keyboard mount and touchpad alignment. A broken hinge puts tremendous stress on the screen cable, eventually causing display failure. A bent chassis can press against the motherboard, causing intermittent shutdowns. Even a missing bottom cover exposes your laptop to overheating because the ventilation design is disrupted. Early repair prevents cascading failures that cost significantly more to fix later.

Plastic vs Metal Laptop Body Repair

Plastic bodies (found on most HP, Lenovo, Acer, ASUS models) can be repaired through ABS plastic welding, solvent bonding, or custom panel fabrication. We use industrial-grade adhesives and fibre reinforcement patches for strong, lasting repairs. Metal bodies (found on MacBooks, Dell XPS, HP Spectre, Lenovo ThinkPad X1) require cold welding, epoxy bonding, or precision straightening. Our technicians are trained in both materials.

Laptop Hinge Repair — Our Most Requested Service

Broken laptop hinges account for 40%+ of all body repair requests we receive in Ballard Estate. The hinge mechanism endures thousands of open-close cycles, and the mounting point (usually plastic tabs embedded in the chassis) eventually cracks or pulls out. We don't just replace the hinge — we reinforce the mounting point with brass inserts and metal plates to ensure it lasts longer than the original design.

When Is Full Panel Replacement Better Than Repair?

If the damage is extensive (multiple cracks, missing sections, or warped plastic), replacement is more reliable and cost-effective than patching. We source OEM replacement panels for major laptop brands. When OEM parts are discontinued (common for models older than 5 years), we fabricate custom panels using precision-cut ABS sheet, acrylic moulding, or even carbon fibre composites for premium builds.

Service Coverage in Ballard Estate

Our pickup-and-delivery service covers all of Ballard Estate and surrounding localities. We pick up your damaged laptop directly from your home, office, or co-working space — no need to carry a broken laptop through traffic. Most body repairs are completed same day, and your restored laptop is delivered back to your doorstep in Ballard Estate with a 90-day structural warranty.

FAQ

Laptop Body Fabrication in Ballard Estate — Frequently Asked Questions

When OEM replacement body parts are unavailable (discontinued model, rare brand, or custom requirement), we fabricate the panel from scratch using precision cutting, moulding, and finishing techniques.
Depending on the requirement: ABS plastic sheet (most common), polycarbonate, acrylic, carbon fibre composite, and 3D-printed nylon. Material choice depends on the original body material and desired durability.
Custom panel fabrication: ₹2,500-₹5,000 depending on complexity. Simple bottom covers are on the lower end. Complex multi-part palmrests with integrated touchpad mounts are higher.
Typical fabrication timeline: 2-3 business days. This includes measurement, material preparation, cutting/moulding, fitting, finishing, and quality testing. Rush service available for 1-day turnaround.
We match the colour, texture, and finish as closely as possible. For simple panels (bottom covers), the match is 95%+. For visible panels with complex textures, we achieve 85-90% visual match.

How it's done

How We Perform Laptop Body Fabrication

What our technicians do, what it requires, and how to tell you need it.

1 How It's Performed

When this needs a genuine repair rather than a reset, our technicians assess whether the damage is cosmetic or is also affecting internal component fit/alignment (a cracked body section can put pressure on a board or battery underneath), then replace or reinforce the affected section accordingly.

Typical time: 30–90 minutes depending on scope

2 What This Requires

  • An internal check for any pressure or misalignment the damage may have caused to components underneath the affected panel, not just a cosmetic patch.

3 When You Need This

  • Visible cracks, broken clips, or missing sections on the outer casing.
  • A panel that no longer sits flush, creating gaps or pressure points.
  • Sharp edges from a break that pose a cut risk during normal handling.
