How it's done
How We Perform Laptop Performance Optimization
What our technicians do, what it requires, and how to tell you need it.
1 How It's Performed
For a repair job on this component, our technicians benchmark before and after each fix step (clearing startup bloat, checking drive health, verifying RAM, checking temperatures) so you can see which specific change actually moved the needle, rather than a vague "it should be faster now."
Typical time: 45–90 minutes
2 What This Requires
- A structured check across the common causes (startup programs, drive health, RAM, temperatures, malware) rather than addressing just one and hoping.
- Before/after benchmarking so the improvement is measurable.
3 When You Need This
- Boot time, app launches, and file operations have all gotten noticeably slower over time.
- The system is fine shortly after a restart but slows down the longer it stays on.
- Fans run loud and performance drops under sustained use — a sign of thermal throttling specifically.
Who repairs your device
Repaired in-house by Xigox technicians
Laptop Performance Optimization is handled by Xigox technicians from start to finish, never handed on to another shop. Work that needs the repair bench is done at our workshop in Virar West.
Board-level faults are traced with a microscope, a multimeter and a soldering station before any part is replaced, and parts are fitted only after you approve the quote.
We don't open your personal files during a repair. When a job needs access to your data, such as data recovery or a Windows reinstall, we ask you first.
- Repaired in-house, not outsourced
- Quote approved by you before work starts
- Your files stay private
- Microscope and board-level tools
- Genuine or OEM-grade parts
- 90-day warranty on repairs

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions — Laptop Performance Optimization
Everything you need to know about Laptop Performance Optimization in Nepean Sea Road
10 questions answered
Most repairs completed within 2-6 hours. Complex issues may take 1-2 days. We provide estimated timelines after diagnostic.
Yes, all repairs come with a 90-day warranty covering parts and workmanship.
Costs depend on the specific issue and device. You get a detailed written quote after the ₹350 inspection, which is credited to the repair.
Yes — out-of-warranty laptops are most of what we handle in Nepean Sea Road. Once the manufacturer warranty lapses, authorised centres often quote near-replacement prices for a single component. We repair at component level where it is safe to do so, which is usually a fraction of that cost, and back it with our own 90-day warranty. We also serve Malabar Hill, Kemps Corner, Walkeshwar, so you can recommend us to neighbours too.
You pay nothing beyond the ₹350 inspection. If we cannot resolve the fault, we explain exactly what we found, return your laptop in the condition we received it, and — where the economics do not justify a repair — tell you so plainly rather than selling you work that is not worth doing. Our service covers the full 400006 postal area in Nepean Sea Road.
For software faults, setup, upgrades and diagnostics we can work on-site anywhere in Nepean Sea Road. Component-level work — board repair, screen bonding, liquid-damage recovery — needs workshop equipment, so we collect the laptop, repair it, and return it. Both options are free of travel charges. Trusted by customers throughout Mumbai City — rated 4.9★ across 9,727+ reviews.
We send live updates over WhatsApp at each stage: collection, diagnosis, quote approval, repair completion, and dispatch. You can reply to that thread at any point to reach the technician handling your laptop rather than a general helpline. Trusted by customers throughout Mumbai City — rated 4.9★ across 9,727+ reviews.
Back up documents, photos and anything stored only on that laptop before any repair — with us or anyone else. Most Laptop Performance Optimization work does not touch your data, but board-level faults and storage failures can be unpredictable. Tell us in advance if the drive holds irreplaceable data and we will treat recovery as the first priority. Trusted by customers throughout Mumbai City — rated 4.9★ across 9,727+ reviews.
Our rule of thumb: if the repair costs more than roughly half of a comparable replacement and the laptop is more than five years old, replacement is usually the better call. We tell you which side of that line you are on during the inspection in Nepean Sea Road, even when the answer means we do not get the job. Free pickup also available in Malabar Hill, Kemps Corner, Walkeshwar and surrounding areas.
Yes — Xigox operates 9 AM to 9 PM, seven days a week in Nepean Sea Road, including Sundays and public holidays. Weekend pickups are often the most convenient option for people who cannot be at home on a working day. We also serve Malabar Hill, Kemps Corner, Walkeshwar, so you can recommend us to neighbours too.

Laptop specifics
What Laptop Performance Optimization Means on a Laptop
Windows laptops are the most serviceable class we handle — most parts are modular, so repairs are usually faster and cheaper than sealed designs.
Why it happens on Windows laptop and notebook owners
- Dust clogging the fan and fin stack after 12–18 months of use
- Dried factory thermal paste on the CPU and GPU dies
- Failing DC jack causing intermittent charging
- Aftermarket RAM or SSD running outside spec
What our Laptop technician checks
- Full teardown, fan and fin-stack clean
- Thermal paste and pad replacement on CPU and GPU
- Stress test with live temperature logging
- Battery wear level and charge-cycle report
Laptop hardware we work on
- Modular SODIMM RAM and M.2 NVMe slots
- Replaceable keyboard and palmrest assemblies
- Standard eDP display panels
- Removable battery packs and DC jacks
- Discrete GPU and CPU heat-pipe assemblies
Models we see most often
- HP Pavilion and ProBook
- Dell Inspiron, Vostro and Latitude
- Lenovo IdeaPad and ThinkPad
- Asus VivoBook and TUF
Because most Windows laptop parts are modular, we can usually quote an exact part cost the same day and complete the repair in 2–4 hours.
Will repairing my laptop void the manufacturer warranty?
If your laptop is still in warranty we will tell you before touching it, so you can decide between the brand service centre and us. Out-of-warranty work is covered by our own written 90-day warranty.
