How it's done
How We Perform NAS Data Recovery
What our technicians do, what it requires, and how to tell you need it.
1 How It's Performed
For a recovery case, our technicians diagnose whether the fault is logical (deleted files, corrupted file system, failed update) or physical (clicking drive, unreadable sectors, water damage) first, since these need completely different recovery techniques — logical faults use data-recovery software on an image, physical faults need controlled hardware-level work.
Typical time: 2–48 hours depending on damage severity
2 What This Requires
- Specialist data-recovery software for logical faults (deleted partitions, corrupted file systems, formatted drives).
- Honest expectations set up front — recovery success depends heavily on how the drive failed and whether it was kept powered off once trouble started.
3 When You Need This
- A laptop was dropped, exposed to liquid, or suffered a power failure mid-write, and files have been missing or corrupted since.
- A RAID array lost one or more member drives and needs reconstruction rather than a single-disk recovery.
