How it's done
How We Perform MacBook Hinge Repair
What our technicians do, what it requires, and how to tell you need it.
1 How It's Performed
When this needs a genuine repair rather than a reset, our technicians remove the display assembly to access the hinge brackets directly, replace the worn or cracked hinge mechanism (and the surrounding plastic if it has cracked from stress), and carefully re-route the display cable through the new hinge to avoid pinching it — a common cause of a second fault right after a hinge repair done without care.
Typical time: 45–60 minutes
2 What This Requires
- A hinge mechanism matched to your exact chassis — hinge torque and mounting vary significantly even across different trims of the same model line.
- Careful cable routing through the new hinge, since a pinched display cable here is one of the most common causes of a screen fault appearing right after a hinge job.
3 When You Need This
- The display flickers specifically when the lid is opened/closed or moved to certain angles — often a hinge-damaged cable rather than the panel itself.
Who repairs your device
Repaired in-house by Xigox technicians
MacBook Hinge Repair is handled by Xigox technicians from start to finish, never handed on to another shop. Work that needs the repair bench is done at our workshop in Virar West.
Board-level faults are traced with a microscope, a multimeter and a soldering station before any part is replaced, and parts are fitted only after you approve the quote.
We don't open your personal files during a repair. When a job needs access to your data, such as data recovery or a Windows reinstall, we ask you first.
- Repaired in-house, not outsourced
- Quote approved by you before work starts
- Your files stay private
- Microscope and board-level tools
- Genuine or OEM-grade parts
- 90-day warranty on repairs

Yes — ₹350 for the inspection in Chandansar. Our technician diagnoses your laptop and gives you a clear written estimate; if you go ahead with the repair, that ₹350 is adjusted against the total cost, so the inspection itself doesn't add to the bill. If you decide not to proceed, the ₹350 still applies for the technician's time. Our service covers the full 401303 postal area in Chandansar.
We accept all major payment methods for MacBook Hinge Repair in Chandansar: UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm), debit/credit cards, net banking, and cash. Yes — out-of-warranty laptops are most of what we handle in Chandansar. Once the manufacturer warranty lapses, authorised centres often quote near-replacement prices for a single component. We repair at component level where it is safe to do so, which is usually a fraction of that cost, and back it with our own 90-day warranty. Customers near Chandansar Road in Chandansar are covered by our free pickup.
You pay nothing beyond the ₹350 inspection. If we cannot resolve the fault, we explain exactly what we found, return your laptop in the condition we received it, and — where the economics do not justify a repair — tell you so plainly rather than selling you work that is not worth doing. Our service covers the full 401303 postal area in Chandansar.
For software faults, setup, upgrades and diagnostics we can work on-site anywhere in Chandansar. Customers across Chandansar (401303) enjoy priority same-day scheduling.
We send live updates over WhatsApp at each stage: collection, diagnosis, quote approval, repair completion, and dispatch. You can reply to that thread at any point to reach the technician handling your laptop rather than a general helpline. We also serve Gokul Township, Phoolpada, Manvel Pada, so you can recommend us to neighbours too.

MacBook specifics
What MacBook Hinge Repair Means on a MacBook
MacBooks are sealed, glued and board-integrated, so almost nothing is a plug-in swap. Repairs are component-level work on the logic board, not module replacement.
Why it happens on MacBook Air and MacBook Pro owners
- Thermal paste degradation on tightly packed M-series and Intel boards
- Blocked rear-vent airflow under the hinge
- Liquid ingress through the keyboard into the logic board
- Swollen battery pressing on the trackpad and top case
What our MacBook technician checks
- Apple Diagnostics and full board voltage-rail read
- Thermal imaging of the heat pipe and fan assembly
- Corrosion inspection under the keyboard membrane
- Battery cycle count and health via system report
MacBook hardware we work on
- Apple Silicon M-series and Intel logic boards
- Butterfly and Magic Keyboard assemblies
- Retina display assemblies with bonded glass
- Battery packs adhesived into the top case
- Thunderbolt / USB-C charging boards
- T2 security chip and SSD soldered to board
Models we see most often
- MacBook Air M1 / M2
- MacBook Pro 13" Touch Bar
- MacBook Pro 14" and 16" M-series
- MacBook Pro Retina 15"
Because storage is soldered on T2 and Apple Silicon boards, we take a full image before any board work so nothing is lost if the SSD controller is affected.
Do you use genuine Apple parts?
We use OEM-grade and original-pull Apple components, and we tell you which one your quote covers before any work starts. Board-level repair keeps costs well below Apple's whole-unit replacement price.
