FAQ
FAQs — Apple MacBook Pro Laptop Boot Issue Fix in Dharavi
Everything you need to know before booking your repair
10 questions answered
Causes: corrupted boot record, failed drive, dead CMOS battery, RAM failure, or OS file damage.
Not necessarily. In most cases, we recover data from non-booting devices before any repair.
Software boot repairs 1-3 hours. Hardware issues 2-6 hours depending on root cause.
Yes — out-of-warranty laptops are most of what we handle in Dharavi. Once the manufacturer warranty lapses, authorised centres often quote near-replacement prices for a single component. We repair at component level where it is safe to do so, which is usually a fraction of that cost, and back it with our own 90-day warranty. Our service covers the full 400017 postal area in Dharavi.
You pay nothing beyond the ₹350 inspection. If we cannot resolve the fault, we explain exactly what we found, return your laptop in the condition we received it, and — where the economics do not justify a repair — tell you so plainly rather than selling you work that is not worth doing. Trusted by customers throughout Mumbai Suburban — rated 4.9★ across 9,727+ reviews.
For software faults, setup, upgrades and diagnostics we can work on-site anywhere in Dharavi. Component-level work — board repair, screen bonding, liquid-damage recovery — needs workshop equipment, so we collect the laptop, repair it, and return it. Both options are free of travel charges. Customers across Dharavi (400017) enjoy priority same-day scheduling.
We send live updates over WhatsApp at each stage: collection, diagnosis, quote approval, repair completion, and dispatch. You can reply to that thread at any point to reach the technician handling your laptop rather than a general helpline. We also serve Sion West, Sion, Sion East, so you can recommend us to neighbours too.
Back up documents, photos and anything stored only on that laptop before any repair — with us or anyone else. Most Apple MacBook Pro Laptop Boot Issue Fix work does not touch your data, but board-level faults and storage failures can be unpredictable. Tell us in advance if the drive holds irreplaceable data and we will treat recovery as the first priority. Free pickup also available in Sion West, Sion, Sion East and surrounding areas.
Our rule of thumb: if the repair costs more than roughly half of a comparable replacement and the laptop is more than five years old, replacement is usually the better call. We tell you which side of that line you are on during the inspection in Dharavi, even when the answer means we do not get the job. Trusted by customers throughout Mumbai Suburban — rated 4.9★ across 9,727+ reviews.
Yes — Xigox operates 9 AM to 9 PM, seven days a week in Dharavi, including Sundays and public holidays. Weekend pickups are often the most convenient option for people who cannot be at home on a working day. Customers near Sion in Dharavi are covered by our free pickup.

How it's done
How We Perform Laptop Boot Issue Fix
What our technicians do, what it requires, and how to tell you need it.
1 How It's Performed
When this exact symptom shows up, our technicians attempt a repair of the existing installation's boot files/configuration first where the data is important to preserve, before considering a full reinstall, which should be a last resort rather than a first response.
Typical time: 30–90 minutes
2 What This Requires
- A clear read on exactly where in the boot sequence the failure happens (before OS load vs. during it), which changes the entire diagnostic path.
- A backup of accessible data before attempting any boot-repair step that could risk further data loss.
3 When You Need This
- The device powers on (fans, lights) but never reaches the OS login/desktop.
- It's stuck on a manufacturer logo, spinning indicator, or repeated restart loop.
- An error message about a missing or corrupted boot device/operating system appears.
The model
About the MacBook Pro
The MacBook Pro is Apple's performance-oriented laptop, aimed at creative professionals, developers, and power users who need sustained CPU/GPU performance — active cooling, higher-refresh ProMotion displays on 14"/16" models, and more I/O than the Air.
Key features
- Active fan cooling allows sustained high performance under video export, 3D rendering, and compilation workloads.
- Soldered RAM/storage on Apple Silicon models — same upgrade limitation as the Air, more pronounced given the higher price point.
- Liquid Retina XDR display on 14"/16" models — genuinely class-leading color accuracy and brightness for creative work.
- Multiple Thunderbolt/USB-C ports plus, on larger models, HDMI and an SD card slot.
