FAQ
FAQs — Apple MacBook Pro Memory Upgrade in Papdy
Everything you need to know before booking your repair
10 questions answered
Single component 30-60 minutes. Full system upgrades with OS migration take 3-5 hours.
Yes — ₹350 for the inspection in Papdy. Our technician diagnoses your laptop and gives you a clear written estimate; if you go ahead with the repair, that ₹350 is adjusted against the total cost, so the inspection itself doesn't add to the bill. If you decide not to proceed, the ₹350 still applies for the technician's time. Our service covers the full 401207 postal area in Papdy.
We accept all major payment methods for Apple MacBook Pro Memory Upgrade in Papdy: UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm), debit/credit cards, net banking, and cash. Payment is collected after the repair is completed to your satisfaction — we never charge upfront without consent. We've been serving Palghar district for over 15 years.
Yes — out-of-warranty laptops are most of what we handle in Papdy. Once the manufacturer warranty lapses, authorised centres often quote near-replacement prices for a single component. We repair at component level where it is safe to do so, which is usually a fraction of that cost, and back it with our own 90-day warranty. Customers near Vasai Creek in Papdy are covered by our free pickup.
You pay nothing beyond the ₹350 inspection. If we cannot resolve the fault, we explain exactly what we found, return your laptop in the condition we received it, and — where the economics do not justify a repair — tell you so plainly rather than selling you work that is not worth doing. We also serve Kaul Heritage City, Navghar Vasai, Vasai Gaon, so you can recommend us to neighbours too.
For software faults, setup, upgrades and diagnostics we can work on-site anywhere in Papdy. Component-level work — board repair, screen bonding, liquid-damage recovery — needs workshop equipment, so we collect the laptop, repair it, and return it. Both options are free of travel charges. Customers across Papdy (401207) enjoy priority same-day scheduling.
We send live updates over WhatsApp at each stage: collection, diagnosis, quote approval, repair completion, and dispatch. You can reply to that thread at any point to reach the technician handling your laptop rather than a general helpline. We've been serving Palghar district for over 15 years.
Back up documents, photos and anything stored only on that laptop before any repair — with us or anyone else. Most Apple MacBook Pro Memory Upgrade work does not touch your data, but board-level faults and storage failures can be unpredictable. Tell us in advance if the drive holds irreplaceable data and we will treat recovery as the first priority. Our service covers the full 401207 postal area in Papdy.
Our rule of thumb: if the repair costs more than roughly half of a comparable replacement and the laptop is more than five years old, replacement is usually the better call. We tell you which side of that line you are on during the inspection in Papdy, even when the answer means we do not get the job. Our service covers the full 401207 postal area in Papdy.
Yes — Xigox operates 9 AM to 9 PM, seven days a week in Papdy, including Sundays and public holidays. Weekend pickups are often the most convenient option for people who cannot be at home on a working day. Trusted by customers throughout Palghar — rated 4.9★ across 9,727+ reviews.

Apple MacBook Pro Repair in Papdy — Xigox
Most Papdy repair shops handle Apple the same way they handle every other make. We do not. Our Apple technicians are trained specifically on Apple MacBook Pro architecture — schematics, boardview files and firmware behaviour — which is why our first-time fix rate on Apple work is so much higher than a general shop's.
Parts for Apple MacBook Pro models are held in stock rather than ordered after you book, so most repairs are not waiting on a supplier. Screens, batteries, keyboards, charging boards and flex cables are all OEM-grade. You approve a written estimate first, and the ₹350 inspection is credited back against the repair.
We actively serve the entire 401207 postal area within Palghar district, ensuring same-day response for every repair request. ₹350 inspection fee (refunded if you proceed with repair). Located near Vasai Creek, our service coverage extends across Papdy and all surrounding localities. In addition to Papdy, we also provide doorstep repairs and free pickup for lab work for customers in Kaul Heritage City, Navghar Vasai, Vasai Gaon and other nearby areas.
Straightforward Apple jobs — battery, keyboard, screen, SSD or RAM — are done at your address in Papdy. Anything needing the microscope and hot-air station comes back to the lab, with free pickup and drop either way. We confirm within 15 minutes of booking and tell you honestly whether it is a same-day fix.
We back Apple work with a 90-day parts-and-labour warranty in writing, not just a verbal promise. If your Apple MacBook Pro does come back with the same fault, we cover it. You keep a direct WhatsApp line to the team that did the work.

How it's done
How We Perform Memory Upgrade
What our technicians do, what it requires, and how to tell you need it.
1 How It's Performed
When you want more capacity or speed rather than just a fix, we run a memory diagnostic pass (testing each stick individually when more than one is installed) to confirm whether the fault is a bad module, a loose seating, or a slot-level issue, then fit correctly-specced modules and re-run the test to confirm stability.
Typical time: 15–30 minutes
2 What This Requires
- Confirmation of how many RAM slots your model has and whether they're user-accessible or soldered — some ultrabooks have some or all memory soldered to the board, which changes what an "upgrade" actually involves.
3 When You Need This
- Frequent blue screens or random restarts, especially under multitasking or heavier workloads.
- The system reports less RAM installed than you know is fitted (a sign of a dead or unseated module).
- Performance feels sluggish specifically when many apps/tabs are open at once, improving when you close them — a classic insufficient-RAM symptom.
The model
About the MacBook Pro
The MacBook Pro is Apple's performance-oriented laptop, aimed at creative professionals, developers, and power users who need sustained CPU/GPU performance — active cooling, higher-refresh ProMotion displays on 14"/16" models, and more I/O than the Air.
Key features
- Active fan cooling allows sustained high performance under video export, 3D rendering, and compilation workloads.
- Soldered RAM/storage on Apple Silicon models — same upgrade limitation as the Air, more pronounced given the higher price point.
- Liquid Retina XDR display on 14"/16" models — genuinely class-leading color accuracy and brightness for creative work.
- Multiple Thunderbolt/USB-C ports plus, on larger models, HDMI and an SD card slot.
