If your PC powers on (fans spin, lights on) but the monitor shows "No Signal" or stays blank, the display path is broken — usually RAM, the cable, or the graphics card.
Check the Monitor & Cable- Confirm the monitor is on and set to the correct input (HDMI/DisplayPort).
- Try another cable and another port; test the monitor on another device.
- If you have a graphics card, plug the monitor into the card, not the motherboard port.
- Reseat the RAM — remove and firmly re-insert the sticks; test one at a time. Loose/faulty RAM is the #1 no-display cause.
- Reseat the graphics card and its power connectors.
- Listen for beep codes or watch motherboard debug LEDs — they identify the failing part.
- Clear CMOS (remove the battery for a minute, or use the jumper) if it started after a BIOS/overclock change.
- Test with the onboard graphics (if the CPU has them) to isolate a failed GPU.
If reseating RAM and the GPU doesn't restore the display, a technician can bench-test each component to isolate a failed stick, card, or motherboard — quickly and affordably.
