Why does BitLocker matter so much? Because it encrypts the drive using keys tied to the TPM on the motherboard. Swap the board and the TPM changes, so Windows asks for the recovery key to prove you own the data. Without it, the data stays locked.
How do you use HP's built-in diagnostics?
Most HP laptops include a hardware test that runs before Windows starts, which is useful when the operating system is the thing that's failing. It takes a few minutes and gives a failure ID you can send us.

Should a business repair or refresh its HP laptops?
