How it's done
What our technicians do, what it requires, and how to tell you need it.
For a full replacement job, our technicians run a before/after temperature benchmark under load so the improvement is measurable, not just assumed — checking fan RPM response and idle/load temperatures both before opening the chassis and again after the clean and repaste.
Dried-out factory thermal paste is one of the most common causes of creeping temperatures on a laptop that is otherwise healthy — we always clean off the old compound fully before applying fresh paste, rather than layering over it.
Typical time: 30–45 minutes
The model
The HP OMEN 40L is HP's dedicated gaming line (laptop and desktop) — high-refresh displays, dedicated gaming GPUs, and HP's gaming-focused cooling and software (Omen Gaming Hub).
Why waste time on aggregators? Get direct service without middleman markup with Xigox. If your HP becomes hot to touch in Matunga, the thermal paste has almost certainly dried out and cracked. Our technicians fully open the laptop, deep-clean the cooling path, and apply premium-grade thermal compound — reducing CPU temps by 15–30°C.
