How it's done
What our technicians do, what it requires, and how to tell you need it.
When this needs a genuine repair rather than a reset, our technicians run a before/after temperature benchmark under load so the improvement is measurable, not just assumed — checking fan RPM response and idle/load temperatures both before opening the chassis and again after the clean and repaste.
Dried-out factory thermal paste is one of the most common causes of creeping temperatures on a laptop that is otherwise healthy — we always clean off the old compound fully before applying fresh paste, rather than layering over it.
Typical time: 30–45 minutes
The model
The HP ProBook is HP's mid-tier business laptop line — sitting below EliteBook, offering business features (security, manageability) at a more accessible price for small/medium businesses.
Skip the directories. Book direct for transparent pricing with Xigox. Thermal paste on your HP starts degrading after 18–24 months of heavy use — causing CPU temperatures to spike by 30–40°C, triggering automatic clock-speed reduction. In Colaba, Xigox's HP ProBook Thermal Paste Application uses Kryonaut, Arctic MX-5 or Noctua NT-H1 and deep-cleans heatsink fins to restore temps to 55–65°C under full load.
Completing the repair is just the first step at Xigox. Prior to delivery in Colaba, it undergoes a strict multi-point inspection. We verify that your repair was executed flawlessly, testing thermal performance. This attention to detail is why our return rate is so low across Colaba.
Each issue completed by Xigox in Colaba comes with a comprehensive three-month warranty on parts and labour. That means, if anything goes wrong within 3 months, we fix it at zero extra cost. You get a written warranty card with every issue, so the terms are clear.
