iMac Screen Replacement — Retina Precision

The iMac display is one of the most complex screens to replace in the consumer market. Apple uses a laminated panel assembly — the front glass is fusion-bonded to the LCD — meaning a cracked outer glass affects the entire display unit. On iMac 27-inch models, the 5K Retina panel weighs nearly 3 kg and is held by magnets and adhesive strips. Correct removal requires vacuum cups, careful heat application, and a methodical peel sequence to avoid snapping the fragile LCD. We carry out iMac screen replacements with quality-matched panels and re-seal the display with fresh adhesive so the result is indistinguishable from factory condition.

SSD & RAM Upgrades — Revive Your Older iMac

If your iMac 27-inch (2012–2020) is running on a Fusion Drive or a spinning HDD, an SSD upgrade is the single most impactful improvement you can make. Boot times drop from over a minute to under 15 seconds; app launches are near-instant. The iMac 27-inch (up to 2020) also has user-accessible RAM slots — upgrading from 8GB to 32GB or 64GB transforms multitasking performance for video editing, design, and development work. Our iMac technicians handle both procedures with full data migration so you never lose a file. Note: M-series iMac (2021 onward) have unified memory soldered to the logic board — not upgradeable, but these machines rarely need upgrades given their performance headroom.

Logic Board Repair — Component-Level Service

iMac logic board failures typically present as no-power symptoms, random shutdowns, or video glitches. Common fault points include the GPU power regulators on 27-inch AMD Radeon models, the T2 chip on 2019–2020 iMacs, and the NAND controller on M1/M2/M3 models. Rather than quoting a straight board replacement (which can cost ₹18,000–₹25,000), our approach is component-level diagnosis first: identify the specific IC or capacitor that has failed, source the component, and reball or replace it under magnification. This targeted approach typically costs 40–60% less than a full board replacement and carries the same 90-day warranty.

Liquid Damage on iMac — Act Fast

A liquid spill on an iMac is a serious situation. Unlike a laptop where you can flip the device and drain it, the iMac's vertical, sealed design means liquid travels directly onto the power supply and logic board. Corrosion begins within hours of exposure. The best outcome comes from immediate power-off (hold the power button until it shuts down — do not restart), avoiding the temptation to dry it with heat, and bringing it to us as soon as possible. Our liquid damage recovery process involves full disassembly, ultrasonic board cleaning, corrosion treatment under magnification, and individual component testing before reassembly. Diagnosis is ₹350, credited to the repair — the repair fee applies only if we bring the machine back.
