What Battery Draining Fast Means on a MacBook
MacBooks are sealed, glued and board-integrated, so almost nothing is a plug-in swap. Repairs are component-level work on the logic board, not module replacement.
Why it happens on MacBook Air and MacBook Pro owners
- •Thermal paste degradation on tightly packed M-series and Intel boards
- •Blocked rear-vent airflow under the hinge
- •Liquid ingress through the keyboard into the logic board
- •Swollen battery pressing on the trackpad and top case
What our MacBook technician checks
- ✓Apple Diagnostics and full board voltage-rail read
- ✓Thermal imaging of the heat pipe and fan assembly
- ✓Corrosion inspection under the keyboard membrane
- ✓Battery cycle count and health via system report
MacBook hardware we work on
- Apple Silicon M-series and Intel logic boards
- Butterfly and Magic Keyboard assemblies
- Retina display assemblies with bonded glass
- Battery packs adhesived into the top case
- Thunderbolt / USB-C charging boards
- T2 security chip and SSD soldered to board
Models we see most often
- MacBook Air M1 / M2
- MacBook Pro 13" Touch Bar
- MacBook Pro 14" and 16" M-series
