How it's done
How We Perform Microphone Not Working
What our technicians do, what it requires, and how to tell you need it.
1 How It's Performed
When this exact symptom shows up, our technicians check the speaker's voice coil and connector for the specific type of damage present (torn cone, loose wiring, blown coil) and replace only the affected speaker rather than assuming both need swapping.
Typical time: 20–40 minutes
2 What This Requires
- A test through headphones/external speakers first, to separate a hardware fault from a driver or Bluetooth-output misconfiguration.
- A speaker unit matched to your model's exact mounting bracket and connector.
3 When You Need This
- The issue appeared after a spill or drop — internal speaker wiring is a common casualty of both.
