How it's done
What our technicians do, what it requires, and how to tell you need it.
For a full replacement job, our technicians run a before/after temperature benchmark under load so the improvement is measurable, not just assumed — checking fan RPM response and idle/load temperatures both before opening the chassis and again after the clean and repaste.
Dried-out factory thermal paste is one of the most common causes of creeping temperatures on a laptop that is otherwise healthy — we always clean off the old compound fully before applying fresh paste, rather than layering over it.
Typical time: 30–45 minutes
The model
The Acer Aspire TC-1780 is Acer's mainstream consumer desktop tower — everyday home computing at an accessible price.
Tired of middlemen? Work with the actual repair team — Xigox. A gaming laptop or creative workstation in Bordi stresses the cooling system far more than casual use. Xigox tailors the thermal solution to your use case: premium compound for demanding tasks, fan profile checks included to confirm your Acer holds 70–75°C under full load.
All this issue performed by Xigox in Bordi comes with a written 90-day warranty covering parts and labour. Simply put, if the same issue recurs within 90 days, we redo it completely free. Xigox issues a printed warranty receipt every single time, so you know exactly what is covered.
Fixing the immediate problem is only half the job at Xigox. Before your Acer is returned in Bordi, it must pass a comprehensive 20-point quality check. Our team ensures that the repair was 100% successful, checking port functionality. This level of testing is the reason for our 4.9★ rating across Bordi.
Quality matters for this issue. Because of this, our team strictly use genuine parts for your Acer. Instead of unbranded components, we use trusted supply chains. This guarantees your issue will last, supported by our standard 90-day warranty.

Your personal data is our top priority during your issue. Customers throughout Bordi trust us because we never access personal files. Throughout the issue, your confidential files remain untouched. If a software reset is necessary, we consult you beforehand.
Many Bordi customers wonder whether their laptop insurance covers the repair. We help with insurance claims and can generate the detailed GST invoice required for claim submission — broken down by component and labour. When manufacturer warranty has expired, our repair is almost always often far cheaper compared to the brand's authorised centre.

Just drop your pin, and our technician will pick up the Acer from your home or office. After the issue is completed, it is delivered back fully tested and sealed. Save your time without leaving your desk.
Expert repair shouldn't break the bank in Bordi. Because we repair at the component level, we typically save customers 30% to 50% versus authorized brand service centres.
