How it's done
How We Perform Computer External DVD Writer Setup
What our technicians do, what it requires, and how to tell you need it.
1 How It's Performed
For a clean installation or setup, our technicians check whether the fault is isolated to one port or affects all ports of that type (which usually points to a controller-chip issue on the motherboard rather than the connector itself) before deciding between a port-level repair and a board-level one.
Typical time: 20–40 minutes
2 What This Requires
- A matched replacement connector (exact pin count and mounting footprint), since generic ports often don't physically fit the board's existing solder pads.
3 When You Need This
- Devices aren't recognized at all in that port, even though they work fine in other ports or on another computer.
- The port feels loose or the connector shell is visibly cracked or pushed in.
- Connection drops intermittently — present one moment, gone the next, with no cable changes.
Acer Computer External DVD Writer Setup in Colaba — Professional, Reliable, and Affordable
Tired of middlemen? Work with the actual repair team — Xigox. Desktop PC diagnostics in Colaba need a different approach than laptop repair — a POST card, PSU tester, and RAM slot isolation. Xigox technicians use a methodical component-isolation sequence: starting from the most common fault point outward. This prevents unnecessary parts purchases — you don't replace a ₹8,000 GPU if the PSU is the real fault.
Board-Level Acer Computer External DVD Writer Setup in Colaba
Swapping the whole board costs 3–5x more than fixing the fault on it. Xigox's on-site chip-level facility means engineers identify the specific chip and repair at the component level — saving customers thousands of rupees. Customers in Colaba come to Xigox specifically for this.
Pickup & Drop Across Colaba
Customers from Colaba with free pickup and drop. Every job gets a written quote before any work, genuine parts and a 90-day warranty, for a single Acer or a whole office. By trusting us for this issue in Colaba, your device is repaired at our Virar West workshop and returned tested.

Multi-Point Inspection after Acer Computer External DVD Writer Setup
Fixing the immediate problem is only half the job at Xigox. Before your Acer is returned in Colaba, it must pass a strict multi-point quality check. Our team ensures that the issue was 100% successful, checking port functionality. This level of testing is the reason for our 4.9★ rating across Colaba.
Warranty & After-Service for Acer Computer External DVD Writer Setup
Each repair performed by Xigox in Colaba comes with a comprehensive 90-day warranty covering parts and labour. Simply put, if the same issue recurs within 90 days, we redo it completely free. Xigox issues a printed warranty receipt every single time, so you know exactly what is covered.
