MacBook Air M2 / M3 Repair Guide
The MacBook Air M2/M3 features a redesigned chassis, MagSafe charging, and Apple Silicon. Here's the repair reality.
Screen Replacement
MacBook Air uses a 13.6" or 15.3" Liquid Retina IPS display. Unlike older models, the display is not fused to the top case. Screen replacement: ₹12,999–₹18,999. At Xigox, we use Retina-grade panels with True Tone support.
Battery Replacement
M2 Air: 52.6Wh, M3 Air: 52.6Wh (13"), 66.5Wh (15"). Apple Silicon is extremely power-efficient — battery should last 800+ cycles. If battery health (System Settings → Battery) drops below 80%, replacement is recommended. Cost: ₹4,999–₹6,999.
Keyboard & Trackpad
The Magic Keyboard on M2/M3 Air is reliable, but liquid spills still cause failures. Single keycap replacement is possible for ₹299–₹499. Full keyboard (top case): ₹7,999–₹12,999.
Apple Silicon Repair Notes
M2/M3 MacBooks have unified memory (RAM soldered on chip) and SSD soldered to the board. This means: RAM and storage are NOT upgradeable after purchase. Motherboard failures are more expensive since RAM and SSD are part of the logic board.
