How it's done
What our technicians do, what it requires, and how to tell you need it.
When a component genuinely needs swapping rather than repairing, we isolate whether the fault is the keyboard itself or the embedded controller on the motherboard first using a diagnostic key-matrix test, then replace only the keyboard assembly once that's confirmed, reusing your existing keycaps' layout so the replacement matches exactly.
Typical time: 30–45 minutes
The model
The HP OMEN 40L is HP's dedicated gaming line (laptop and desktop) — high-refresh displays, dedicated gaming GPUs, and HP's gaming-focused cooling and software (Omen Gaming Hub).
Don't waste time on booking portals. Reach the engineers directly with Xigox. Fixing individual keycaps are a quick fix — far cheaper than a full deck replacement. Xigox has replacement keycaps for popular HP models in Naupada: if the damage is isolated, targeted key replacement avoids the cost of a full keyboard deck.
