Acer Aspire 5 A515 — Broken Hinge Fix

“The left hinge on my Acer Aspire 5 A515 cracked completely and the screen was wobbling dangerously every time I tried to open or close the lid, with pieces of plastic falling off the base. At the Xigox the technician inspected both hinges and found that the right hinge was also developing stress fractures. They replaced both hinge assemblies with heavy-duty stainless steel replacements, reinforced the mounting points inside the laptop body with metal brackets, and carefully reassembled the casing so it looks completely original. The lid now opens and closes with smooth, firm resistance and there is absolutely zero wobble. They even touched up the small scuff marks on the plastic bezels. They disposed of the old battery responsibly and installed a brand-new BIS-certified battery with identical voltage and wattage specifications.
