Laptop Body & Casing Repair Specialist in Kandivali

A damaged laptop body is more than a cosmetic issue — it compromises your laptop's structural integrity, exposes internal components to dust and debris, and can lead to screen hinge failure over time. Xigox provides professional laptop body repair, casing replacement, and chassis fabrication in Kandivali with same-day service for most repairs.

Why Laptop Body Damage Shouldn't Be Ignored

A cracked palmrest weakens the keyboard mount and touchpad alignment. A broken hinge puts tremendous stress on the screen cable, eventually causing display failure. A bent chassis can press against the motherboard, causing intermittent shutdowns. Even a missing bottom cover exposes your laptop to overheating because the ventilation design is disrupted. Early repair prevents cascading failures that cost significantly more to fix later.

Plastic vs Metal Laptop Body Repair

Plastic bodies (found on most HP, Lenovo, Acer, ASUS models) can be repaired through ABS plastic welding, solvent bonding, or custom panel fabrication. We use industrial-grade adhesives and fibre reinforcement patches for strong, lasting repairs. Metal bodies (found on MacBooks, Dell XPS, HP Spectre, Lenovo ThinkPad X1) require cold welding, epoxy bonding, or precision straightening. Our technicians are trained in both materials.

Laptop Hinge Repair — Our Most Requested Service

Broken laptop hinges account for 40%+ of all body repair requests we receive in Kandivali. The hinge mechanism endures thousands of open-close cycles, and the mounting point (usually plastic tabs embedded in the chassis) eventually cracks or pulls out. We don't just replace the hinge — we reinforce the mounting point with brass inserts and metal plates to ensure it lasts longer than the original design.

When Is Full Panel Replacement Better Than Repair?

If the damage is extensive (multiple cracks, missing sections, or warped plastic), replacement is more reliable and cost-effective than patching. We source OEM replacement panels for major laptop brands. When OEM parts are discontinued (common for models older than 5 years), we fabricate custom panels using precision-cut ABS sheet, acrylic moulding, or even carbon fibre composites for premium builds.

Service Coverage in Kandivali

Our pickup-and-delivery service covers all of Kandivali and surrounding localities. We pick up your damaged laptop directly from your home, office, or co-working space — no need to carry a broken laptop through traffic. FAQ

Laptop Hinge & Body Repair in Kandivali — Frequently Asked Questions

The hinge is mounted into the laptop body using plastic tabs or metal brackets. When a hinge breaks or becomes stiff, the force transfers to the body — cracking the palmrest, bottom cover, or screen bezel around the hinge area.
Yes, in most cases. We repair the hinge bracket mounting point in the existing body using brass inserts, metal reinforcement plates, and structural epoxy. Full body replacement is only needed if the damage is extensive.
Combined hinge and body repair starts at ₹1,200-₹2,500 depending on the bracket damage severity and laptop model. Significantly cheaper than replacing the entire palmrest assembly (₹3,000-₹5,000).
Open and close the lid gently using both hands, don't open the lid past its natural stopping point, don't carry the laptop by the screen, and keep hinges clean of dust that increases friction.
HP Pavilion, ASUS VivoBook, Lenovo IdeaPad, and Acer Aspire series are the most common. The plastic mounting points in budget laptops are often undersized for the hinge torque.
