Hinge Bracket Rebuilding

Broken hinge mounting points are rebuilt using metal inserts, epoxy resin, and screw thread restoration. This prevents future hinge failures.

Custom Panel Fabrication

When OEM replacement panels are unavailable, we fabricate custom bottom covers, back panels, and palmrest sections using precision cutting and moulding.

ABS Sheet, Acrylic, Carbon Fibre

Surface Finishing

After repair, damaged surfaces are sanded, filled, painted, and clear-coated to match the original colour and texture of your laptop body.

Laptop Body & Casing Repair Specialist in Kandivali

A damaged laptop body is more than a cosmetic issue — it compromises your laptop's structural integrity, exposes internal components to dust and debris, and can lead to screen hinge failure over time. Xigox provides professional laptop body repair, casing replacement, and chassis fabrication in Kandivali with same-day service for most repairs.

Why Laptop Body Damage Shouldn't Be Ignored

A cracked palmrest weakens the keyboard mount and touchpad alignment. A broken hinge puts tremendous stress on the screen cable, eventually causing display failure. A bent chassis can press against the motherboard, causing intermittent shutdowns. Even a missing bottom cover exposes your laptop to overheating because the ventilation design is disrupted. Early repair prevents cascading failures that cost significantly more to fix later.

Plastic vs Metal Laptop Body Repair

Plastic bodies (found on most HP, Lenovo, Acer, ASUS models) can be repaired through ABS plastic welding, solvent bonding, or custom panel fabrication. We use industrial-grade adhesives and fibre reinforcement patches for strong, lasting repairs. Metal bodies (found on MacBooks, Dell XPS, HP Spectre, Lenovo ThinkPad X1) require cold welding, epoxy bonding, or precision straightening. Our technicians are trained in both materials.

Laptop Hinge Repair — Our Most Requested Service

Broken laptop hinges account for 40%+ of all body repair requests we receive in Kandivali. The hinge mechanism endures thousands of open-close cycles, and the mounting point (usually plastic tabs embedded in the chassis) eventually cracks or pulls out. We don't just replace the hinge — we reinforce the mounting point with brass inserts and metal plates to ensure it lasts longer than the original design.

When Is Full Panel Replacement Better Than Repair?

If the damage is extensive (multiple cracks, missing sections, or warped plastic), replacement is more reliable and cost-effective than patching. We source OEM replacement panels for major laptop brands. When OEM parts are discontinued (common for models older than 5 years), we fabricate custom panels using precision-cut ABS sheet, acrylic moulding, or even carbon fibre composites for premium builds.

Our pickup-and-delivery service covers all of Kandivali and surrounding localities. FAQ

Laptop Plastic Body Repair in Kandivali — Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. We use ABS plastic welding (heat fusion), solvent bonding, and fibre reinforcement to repair cracked plastic laptop bodies. The repair is structural — not just cosmetic gluing.
Simple crack welding: ₹500-₹800. Multi-crack repair with reinforcement: ₹800-₹1,500. Full bottom cover fabrication: ₹2,000-₹3,000. Always cheaper than panel replacement.
With proper ABS welding technique and fibre reinforcement patches, the repaired area is actually stronger than the original plastic. We test structural integrity before returning the laptop.
Most budget and mid-range laptops: HP Pavilion, HP 15s, Lenovo IdeaPad, Acer Aspire, ASUS VivoBook, Dell Inspiron, and most laptops under ₹50,000 use ABS plastic or polycarbonate bodies.
Common causes: drop impact, pressure in a packed bag, hinge stress transferring to the body, overtightened screws cracking screw bosses, picking up the laptop by the lid, or aging and brittleness in old plastic.
