Acer Nitro — Thermal Issues

Nitro 5 / Nitro V with i5-12500H or Ryzen 5 7535HS run hot during gaming. The dual-fan cooling system needs cleaning every 6 months. Thermal paste dries out after 18–24 months. Cleaning + repaste: ₹799 at Xigox. Temperatures typically drop 10–15°C after service.

Acer Swift — Ultra-Thin Repair Challenges

Swift 3/5/X models are ultra-thin, making repairs delicate. Battery is glued in, RAM is often soldered, and the display hinge is compact. Professional service is strongly recommended — DIY risks damaging ribbon cables.

Screen Replacement

Nitro: 15.6" IPS 144Hz — ₹2,999–₹4,999. Swift: 14" IPS or OLED — ₹3,999–₹6,999. Swift Go OLED models cost more due to the premium panel.

SSD & RAM Upgrade

Nitro has 2x M.2 slots — easy to add a second SSD. Swift models often have only 1 M.2 slot. RAM: Nitro has 1 SODIMM + 1 soldered; Swift is usually fully soldered (not upgradeable). Check your model before buying RAM.
